Zousaku (造作) is the Japanese word for custom joinery: work made to fit one place and no other. Custom websites, tools, and repairs for New York businesses, measured for you, cut by hand, and fitted by the same person from the first message to long after launch.
The same five steps whether you hand me a console with a dead HDMI port or a business that needs software built from nothing. The long version is on the about page.
Listen first.

They are genuinely different trades. Pick the one that matches what you have in front of you and the whole page changes colour with it.

PROBLEMThe first barbershop in Chelsea, cutting hair on W 23rd St since 1959, with a web presence working against it: no site of their own, a hijacked Google Maps listing pointing customers at a gambling site, and every competitor in the neighborhood running the same interchangeable booking-app template.
PROBLEMA new marketplace retailer whose website is not for shoppers at all. The reader is a wholesaler's account rep or a marketplace reviewer, spending about a minute deciding whether this is a real, organized business before approving an account. Most sites in the space fail that check the same way: they assert things they cannot prove.
PROBLEMA Williamsburg rental brokerage covering all five boroughs and Long Island. The listings lived on the agents' Monday board and the photos in a shared Drive, and the old template site could read neither, so keeping the website current meant doing the office's work twice.
PROBLEMA Sheepshead Bay hero shop open since 1938, famous enough that Kimmel and Fallon shot a segment behind its counter, with no real website. The old domain had been lost to a squatter, so a search for the name landed on auto-generated clone sites with someone else's idea of the menu.
PROBLEMA Brooklyn DJ and event crew working weddings, sweet 16s, mitzvahs and block parties since 1995, with no website at all: the Google profile was unclaimed and Yelp listed the business as a closed produce stand.
An Edo street at night, built from scratch in the browser. Walk it, step into a lit shop, and its scroll tells you what got built.
A few questions, then your details. You get a price on screen before you send anything, and I read every one of these myself.
